But here’s the reality: Southlake relies almost entirely on the generosity of our community to fund new and replacement equipment and technology. The government does not fund these critical tools used across our programs. Without donor support, patients may wait, or in some cases, have to travel for diagnostics or care.

From basic items like beds and blanket warmers to advanced technology that saves lives, like an MRI or radiation treatment machines, your support ensures no patient needs to travel for care outside of our community.

Cardiac Care

Southlake’s Regional Cardiac Care Program serves 1.5 million people in northern York Region, southern Simcoe County, and beyond, performing first-of-its-kind procedures and treating over 10,000 patients each year. Donor support keeps our expert clinical teams equipped with advanced equipment for faster, safer, and more innovative care for your heart.

Cancer Care

Since opening in 2010, Southlake’s Regional Cancer Centre has provided thousands of patients with world-class cancer care, close to home. Your donations help fund equipment and technology enabling timeline diagnosis and treatment for patients and families who depend on us.

Diagnostic Imaging

Accurate diagnoses drive effective treatment. The need for diagnostic testing continues to increase as our communities grow and age. Donor support keeps Diagnostic Imaging and Intervention at Southlake equipped with the latest, state-of-the-art technology needed for timely, precise results.

Emergency Care

Every 4.5 minutes a new patient arrives at Southlake’s Emergency Department. We see over 123,000 visits each year, in spaces built for half that volume. Your gift supports urgent upgrades in spaces, equipment, and technology so patients can receive timely, lifesaving care when every second counts.

Maternal Child Care (Babies & Families)

From prenatal to paediatric care, Southlake is here for growing families. Donor support provides lifesaving equipment to care for infants, children, and adolescents, from advanced care stations in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, to integral ultrasound technology for our Birthing Unit, and more.

Medicine

Southlake’s Medicine Program supports recovery for complex and medically fragile patients. Donations fund essential equipment such as ceiling lifts, and specialized patient beds that help our teams deliver safe, dignified, and efficient care.

Mental Health

Palliative Care

The expert team within Southlake’s Surgical Program performs thousands of procedures every year, from life-saving cardiac and cancer surgeries, to orthopaedic procedures that vastly improve quality of life, and more.
